Born in the hills
of Grasse.
In 1975 Henry Jacques Cremona founded his house on the outskirts of Grasse, the town in Provence that has been the heart of French perfumery since the seventeenth century. He set out to treat scent as an art that can hold memory and emotion, and he built an encyclopaedic knowledge of the finest natural raw materials to do it.
From the beginning the house worked like a couture atelier: perfumes composed for one person at a time, for a discreet private clientele that grew to include prominent families and official state gifts. Mass production was never part of the plan.
“For my father, quality and quantity could not work together.”Anne-Lise Cremona, Chief Executive
