A house on the water.
Langdale Chase stands on the shore of Windermere, on Ambleside Road at Ecclerigg in the Lake District. The house dates from 1891, built as a Victorian private residence, and its gardens were laid out by the landscape architect Thomas Mawson. Many original features survive.
Part of the Daniel Thwaites group, Langdale Chase reopened after a year long restoration. Bedrooms are spread across the main house, the Lake House and the Boathouse, and the suites include the Pullwood Bay Suite, with views over the lake.
