Scout Boats is the South Carolina builder of luxury sport and offshore boats, founded by Steve Potts in Summerville. Its first workshop, a little brick building, was destroyed by Hurricane Hugo in 1989; Scout rebuilt and has grown steadily ever since. Every Scout is 100% hand laid, with fully finished lids, hatches and bilges, and today’s range runs from the 17 foot Sport Dorado to the 67 foot 670.
