He ordered his first tubes on eBay in December 2011 and made his first attempt at his own in February 2012.
His workshop occupies a castle in Březolupy, with five rooms including two clean rooms.
Every tube is made in house by hand, backed by an in house lab researching materials, glasswork and electronics.
His clocks include the Omnixie and the Puri Nixie Clock II.
In 2012 and 2013 he exchanged more than 2,000 emails with home tube maker Ron Soyland while mastering the craft.
