The Artist

Painting the world
back together.

Born in England in 1977, educated at Eton and at Oxford University, where he completed a master's degree in Fine Art in 2000, Sacha Jafri found in painting the language that words could not give him: as a child he lived with synaesthesia and dyslexia, and colour became the place where the world made sense. For more than two decades he has made the United Arab Emirates his home, working largely outside the gallery system, giving much of his work and its proceeds to charity, and painting with what he calls art powered by love, empathy, energy and intention. His collectors have included Barack Obama, Sir Richard Branson, Sir Paul McCartney and Leonardo DiCaprio.
