Mountain Dream and A Child’s Prayer: Sacha Jafri’s Meditations in Colour

Two recent works from Studio Jafri in Dubai show the artist at his most contemplative. Mountain Dream, unveiled this summer, is a torrent of gold, crimson and cobalt, an invitation, in Jafri’s words, to disconnect from technology and reconnect to the soul of our earth.

A Child’s Prayer, shared this autumn, is quieter: a small figure drawn in fine, fluid line against a field of soft whites and dripping colour, a meditation on innocence and hope that recalls the children whose art filled his celebrated Journey of Humanity.

Together they distil the essence of an artist who has spent three decades painting with love, empathy, energy and intention, and who believes, above all, that it is time to reconnect as one.
