The hull is clean. The profile moves like intention itself, sleek and dynamic, the sort of vessel that announces its purpose not through ornament but through purposeful geometry. In late September, Custom Line’s first Saetta 128′ entered the water at the Ferretti Group Superyacht Yard in Ancona, a moment shaped by genuine craftsmanship and architectural clarity.
This bespoke planing trideck spans 39.80 metres in length, its beam measuring 7.69 metres, remaining deliberately beneath the 300 GT threshold. The decision is neither whimsy nor accident. Every dimension serves the yacht’s essential promise: a vessel engineered for those who understand that true luxury unfolds through movement, through the relationship between interior comfort and the sea itself.
The exterior belongs to SY Design, Matteo Sassone and Veronica Yien making their first mark on the brand with a silhouette that knows restraint. Interior architecture flows from ACPV Architects, Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel, their vision woven through spaces that prioritise well being and the freedom of customisation. Custom Line’s own atelier moved through the project like a final hand, ensuring each interior gesture carries bespoke intention.
Three decks conceived for living
The main deck opens with an aft deck of 33 square metres, a space measured in generosity where socialising becomes something elemental. Forward lies the main lounge, 40 metres of it, where dining and living merge without hierarchy. The owner’s suite occupies the bow, a private sanctuary floating above the horizon.
Above this, the upper deck cradles an exclusive sky lounge, a room with perspective. At the stern, a beach club anchors the lower deck, that privileged threshold where the boundary between vessel and ocean softens. Each space communicates with the others through a harmonious flow that architects call rhythm and owners experience as freedom.
The layout considers two worlds: the owner’s realm and that of the crew, each afforded privacy and functionality in equal measure. Comfort guides every decision, the outdoor lifestyle woven through the design as a principle rather than an afterthought. This is a yacht conceived for those who move through seasons, who understand that conviviality is architecture’s highest purpose.
Three yachts have already found owners, a market response that speaks to something the builders already knew: there exists a demand for yachts that honour both performance and grace, that recognise planing hulls need not compromise on refinement. The Saetta 128′ expands Custom Line’s planing family, a lineage that understands a yacht is not furniture floating on water, but a living arrangement suspended between earth and ocean.
