Miista, the East London founded label, has opened its fifth store in Los Angeles on Melrose Avenue with an interior that takes cues from an amphitheatre, crafting a circular venue with rising tiers stacked with shoes and ready to wear pieces. The space features staggered shelving displaying shoes and boots around a central clothing and accessories area, alongside sculptural clothing rails inspired by electronic music pioneer Daphne Oram.

The housewarming brought together the faces that define the brand’s sensibility. Black leather boots caught the autumn light on concrete, their pointed toes and silver hardware gleaming. Hot pink wound through the gathering like an insistent whisper, cropped jackets and sharp tailoring creating silhouettes that speak to a particular kind of fearlessness. The LUCY boots; the LUCY courts; the ERNA sneakers; the IMOGEN boots; the SABRYNA boots and OFELIA jacket; the QORI courts; the AGNA courts; the CHARLENE boots. Each piece a conversation between maker and wearer.

Miista was founded in East London with a focus on craftsmanship and alternative design, producing shoes, clothing and accessories through its own factory and partner facilities in Spain and Portugal, operating a short supply chain that gives it direct oversight of production. This Los Angeles location marks its second brick and mortar site in the US, a full circle moment for the brand, having first hosted a pop up shop in the city over a decade ago.

The store stands at 8371 Melrose Avenue, Los Angeles, ready to welcome the next chapter of the Miista crowd.
