Franck Muller Vanguard Skeleton Color Dreams in CarboTech
The Vanguard Skeleton Color Dreams pairs technical audacity with chromatic drama. A hand wound movement with seven day power reserve reveals anodised bridges in eight vivid hues, contained within a lightweight carbon fibre case.

The Vanguard Skeleton Color Dreams embodies the audacity Franck Muller has cultivated since reviving its most provocative design language. The watch presents a manually wound mechanical movement as pure theatre: each bridge individually anodized in a distinct spectrum colour: red, orange, yellow, green, teal, blue, and purple. This chromatic architecture transforms timekeeping into something closer to kinetic art.
The movement itself bears the designation FM 1740-VS and offers a seven day power reserve. Every component visible through the dial has been conceived from the start as a skeleton watch, with plates and bridges coloured through the process of electrolytic anodisation, which requires the special manufacture of components in aluminium. The effect rewards close observation: coloured barrels, radiant counters, prismatic bridges all working in concert beneath the crystal.
The case for this iteration is CarboTech, a synthesised material made of carbon fibre that has been compressed with a high end polymer for 9 hours at 120 degrees. This engineering choice yields remarkable lightness, matching the delicacy of the movement within. The hand brushed finish catches light across the case surface, creating subtle textural interplay with the brilliant colours held in suspension beyond it.
The movement has been adjusted to fit within the mid sized 43mm carbon fibre Vanguard case, to fit wrists of all sizes for both ladies and gentlemen. The tonneau proportions sit comfortably across the wrist, their softly rounded geometry a deliberate counterpoint to the geometric precision of the coloured mechanism.
