Bonhams Paris holds an auction of thirty lots drawn directly from the cellars of Domaine Hubert Lignier, the venerable Burgundian estate established in Morey Saint Denis in 1885. The sale spans three decades of vintages, a carefully preserved selection that charts the domaine’s expression across the celebrated terroirs of the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune.
The Lignier family has cultivated these vineyard slopes for generations, their stewardship defined by an unwavering reverence for the land and an adherence to traditional viticulture. Their wines have earned recognition for their aromatic precision, their delicate structure and their considerable depth, each bottle a reflection of the particular character of its provenance. Direct provenance from the domaine’s own cellars lends these bottles an impeccable authenticity that collectors value above all.
What distinguishes this sale beyond the wines themselves is its experiential dimension. Twenty seven of the thirty lots carry exclusive encounters within the domaine’s universe, invitations to move through its vineyards, meet the families who tend them, and understand the living history embedded in each vintage.
The auction takes place on Saturday, 7 November 2026 at 14h at Bonhams’ Paris gallery on Avenue Hoche.
