A collector’s journey that began in Singapore, the Lion City, has crystallised into five exceptional timepieces offered at Sotheby’s Geneva. Each watch carries the fingerprints of discovery, from mechanical experimentation to the most delicate hand craftsmanship.

MB&F’s HM7 Aquapod draws its vocabulary from the underwater world, its spherical architecture encasing a flying tourbillon that pulses like a jellyfish suspended in motion. The rare Patek Philippe Ref. 5075G-011 in white gold showcases the artistry of cloisonné enamelling, with a Grecian wildflower rendered in vivid blue and green across its dial. Elsewhere, MB&F’s Legacy Machine Split Escapement transforms Rudyard Kipling’s Jungle Book into a miniature engraved landscape, where the mechanism becomes narrative.

De Bethune’s DB25 Quetzalcoatl draws on Aztec mythology, its hand sculpted feathered serpent serving as both hour and minute display, while Girard Perregaux’s Laureato Three Gold Bridges celebrates fifty years of the iconic Laureato line, rendered across yellow, white and rose gold.

What unites these five pieces is not their technical virtuosity alone, though each possesses that in abundance, but the collector’s restless curiosity. The journey that carried him from Singapore across continents and through the ateliers of the world’s most visionary horologists now reaches its marketplace moment. Bids are invited at Sotheby’s Geneva.
