Bleu de Chauffe’s Gombe pouch rewrites the rules of everyday carry
The French atelier's latest pouch dissolves the boundary between structure and fluidity. Worn over the shoulder or slung across the body, it shifts silhouette with a single gesture, adapting to the wearer's rhythm rather than dictating one.

The Gombe pouch from Bleu de Chauffe abandons the rigidity that usually defines a bag’s identity. Handcrafted in the atelier’s Aveyron workshop in full grain vegetable tanned leather, it exists in a state of beautiful contradiction: equally at ease as a structured tote or a languid crossbody, each configuration arriving not through hardware or snap fastenings, but through the grain of the material itself and the gesture of the hand that carries it.

Slung across the shoulder with its leather strap held taut, the pouch presents with quiet authority: an organised, composed presence for the day that demands focus. The leather, offered in fawn brown, khaki stonewashed or black Liscio, develops a patina with time, the material softening and deepening in colour as it moves through the rhythms of daily life. Switch the strap position and it becomes something altogether more fluid, settling against the ribs like a companion rather than an accessory. The pouch collapses and flows, moving with the body rather than against it, transformed by nothing more than intention.

Each piece emerges from the hands of a single artisan, dated and signed within the leather, a residual gesture of handwork that speaks to the brand’s workwear heritage. Made entirely in France using materials sourced and tanned by the same philosophy that has defined the house since its founding, the Gombe pouch carries the weight of that lineage without wearing it visibly. The simplicity is deceptive: this is a bag that meets you wherever you are, asking only that you wear it.
