Tom Wood extends its jewellery offering with a custom engraving service that transforms each piece into an intimate keepsake. Whether a signet ring bearing initials, a pendant marked with a date of significance, or a chain inscribed with a private message, the engraving sits as a whispered detail visible only to the wearer and those closest to them.
Two routes invite personalisation. Those ordering online can contact the customer service team before purchase to select their preferred typeface, determine the scale of the lettering and choose its precise placement across the surface. The consultation ensures the final inscription harmonises with the piece’s geometry and material character.

For those who prefer to see the typographic options in person, Tom Wood’s physical stores welcome clients to preview fonts and discuss their engraving with the team. Once a design is settled, pieces are transferred to the Tom Wood Lab in Shibuya, where they are inscribed with the precision characteristic of the brand’s Japanese craft heritage. The process unfolds across two to three weeks, allowing sufficient time for meticulous execution.
The service applies to selected pieces from the collection, each one rendered in the house’s signature sterling silver and onyx combinations. Initials catch light across a heart shaped signet; numerals fill a rectangular pendant’s black surface; coordinates trace the length of a chain. These engravings transform jewellery into objects of private meaning, carried as quiet reminders of the people and moments that define a life.
