Reema Mi has long understood that clothing tells stories. Her new Cut and Paste Polo, drawn from The Memory Box collection, arrives as a meditation on colour, construction and the fragments of memory that cling to our bodies. The piece arrives in rich burgundy tones broken by sharp horizontal stripes in black, a deliberate play on cutting and reassembling that gives the collection its name. What might read as simple geometric play becomes, in her hands, something more layered: the visual language of editing, of recollection, of choosing which moments to keep.

The accompanying Glow Pants complete the narrative with luminous panels of golden yellow graduating into deep red, as though light itself has been stitched into the seams. The trousers move with an easy fluidity, their radiant colour scheme suggesting both sunset and memory’s own strange luminescence. Together, the polo and pants create a silhouette that feels both grounded and weightless, precise in its colour blocking yet generous in its cut.

Shot by Maha Creates in evening light along a tree lined road, the collection unfolds as something cinematic and intimate at once. The styling introduces an unexpected element of narrative depth, with the designer photographed alongside a grey horse, creating a visual conversation between textile and living form, between the constructed and the elemental. The horses’ muscled grace mirrors the careful engineering of Reema Mi’s tailoring: both require knowledge earned through devotion to craft.
