Maria Kotsoni’s Starburst collection ignites cosmic transformation

The Starburst collection from Maria Kotsoni transmutes cosmic phenomena into wearable form. Each piece captures the luminous moment when galaxies collide and ignite millions of new stars, rendered here in diamonds and yellow gold. The earrings and rings display a distinctive architectural language: pavé diamond surfaces punctuated by radiant gold spokes that pierce and structure the form like celestial light rays. The contrast between the crystalline sparkle of the stone and the warm metal creates a sense of movement and energy even in stillness.

Running parallel to this celebration of stellar birth, the Ouroboros collection addresses renewal through ancient symbolism. The mythological serpent that devours its own tail represents not destruction but transformation: the consumption of accumulated knowledge and wisdom until the cycle completes and rebirth occurs, wiser and fortified. In Kotsoni’s interpretation, the motif becomes a meditation on becoming, on the cyclical nature of growth and reinvention.

Both collections speak to a particular moment in life when one moves decisively from what was into what might be. The jewellery functions as talisman and declaration. The diamonds catch light with the brilliant energy of beginning, whilst the yellow gold grounds each piece with warmth and substance. These are not delicate whispers but confident statements, pieces designed to be worn and seen and felt against the skin.
