The modern festive escape is no longer defined by decorations and a single gala dinner. Four Seasons Resort and Residences Anguilla is treating the end of 2026 as a season of residencies, private experiences and visiting talent, bringing chefs, wellness practitioners, musicians and mixologists into a programme that runs from Thanksgiving to New Year’s Day.

Announced on 15 September, the schedule is ambitious because it uses the resort’s villas, restaurants and shoreline as different stages. Rather than asking every guest to follow one itinerary, it offers a series of limited encounters that can be assembled around the rhythms of a Caribbean holiday.

Omakase comes home

The most exclusive culinary proposition is Uchi at Home, available from 23 December to 1 January. A dedicated Uchi chef will prepare a bespoke multi-course omakase inside participating villas, penthouses and townhouses. Only two parties will be accepted each evening, turning dinner into a private performance shaped around seasonal seafood and the intimacy of the residence.

The format understands why villa travel has become so important at the highest end of hospitality. Guests want the space and privacy of a home, but they do not want to abandon the theatre and precision of a serious restaurant. Bringing Uchi into the residence removes the journey between those two desires. A takeaway menu available through room service offers a more relaxed version of the same collaboration.

Global flavour, Caribbean light

Chef and television personality Esther Choi will bring contemporary Korean cooking to Sunset Lounge from 19 to 23 December, pairing bold flavours and modern technique with the resort’s west-facing views. From 27 December to 1 January, chef and author Mika Leon will return to Salt with Latin-influenced dishes built around seafood and the culinary links between Latin America and the Caribbean.

The drinks programme has comparable intent. Valentino Longo, founder of Miami bar ViceVersa, will take over Sunset Lounge from 21 December to 1 January with a menu informed by modern aperitivo culture and his international career. The residency model gives the bar a distinct identity for the season while allowing the resort to retain its own sense of place.

Wellness begins earlier. From 26 November to 1 December, Miss Lymph will offer customised lymphatic drainage treatments focused on recovery and renewal. Across the festive period, guests will also have access to oceanfront spa rituals, personal training, group fitness and self-guided reformer Pilates using Frame equipment.

A New Year’s Eve built in layers.

New Year’s Eve will bring the strands together. Grammy-nominated DJ and producer A-Trak will headline at Sunset Lounge, with trumpeter Spencer Ludwig performing ahead of midnight. Salt will host a seafood-led dinner with live cooking stations, while cocktails, VIP areas and fireworks complete the countdown along the water.

The strength of the programme is not simply the number of names involved. It is the way each collaboration has been given an appropriate scale. Uchi is limited to two private parties a night; Choi and Leon inhabit established dining spaces; Longo takes over the sunset ritual; A-Trak provides the collective release at midnight. The result is a resort calendar designed around both privacy and celebration.

For travellers considering the Caribbean over Christmas and New Year, Four Seasons Anguilla is making a clear argument: the luxury is not only the island or the room, but access to experiences that would be difficult to reproduce anywhere else, brought together for a few carefully timed weeks.
