The Copenhagen based contemporary fashion house Soulland orchestrates an exquisitely considered convergence of sartorial refinement and café culture, bringing its distinctive aesthetic to life through an immersive takeover at Bageri Form within Dubai Design District. From the twenty second to the twenty sixth of October, this five day collaboration unfolds as a playful exploration of how the brand’s meticulously considered designs might manifest beyond the realm of fabric and silhouette.
The collaboration represents a graceful introduction to the region for Soulland, whose first Middle Eastern boutique opened recently at Dubai Hills Mall. The takeover embodies the brand’s philosophy of translating cultural influences and artistic references into tangible, wearable expression, here reimagined through the sensory language of patisserie and beverage craft.
A Collection Reimagined Through Flavor and Form
Each element of the limited edition menu emerges as a thoughtful interpretation of the brand’s Autumn/Winter collection, The Scavenger Hunt. This season explores curiosity and the unexpected origins of creative inspiration, drawing from paintings, record sleeves and the organic textures found within nature. Mushroom motifs, collage graphics and softly constructed silhouettes feature throughout the collection, and each becomes poetry in culinary form.
The KAI Flowerservice Matcha, inspired by a graphic T shirt, combines iced matcha with oat milk and elderflower, crowned with vanilla cold foam and an edible flower. The IDE Cap puccino, named after the IDE Cap, presents iced espresso infused with date and cardamom. The Boot nods to Soulland’s DELAWARE Pony Boots through a laminated pastry filled with chocolate hazelnut praline, finished with black cocoa glaze and white chocolate stitching. The Mushroom Cloud, a savoury laminated pastry, brings together wild mushroom duxelles, aged cheese, caramelised onion and thyme, whilst The Soulland presents a Copenhagen inspired cardamom pastry filled with almond frangipane and blackcurrant compote.
Craftsmanship and Heritage
Since its founding in Copenhagen in 2002, Soulland has distinguished itself through an assured synthesis of Scandinavian craftsmanship and influences drawn from art and youth culture. Refined tailoring sits in harmonious dialogue with relaxed, considered everyday pieces, constructed with meticulous attention to detail and fabrics sourced from specialist European suppliers. This philosophy of considered creation extends seamlessly into the Bageri Form collaboration, where each detail bears witness to the brand’s commitment to authenticity and aesthetic refinement.
Visitors to the takeover may explore selected garments from The Scavenger Hunt collection in close proximity, discovering the intricate ways in which artistic references translate into wearable form. The displayed pieces are available for purchase at Soulland’s Dubai Hills Mall store. The takeover opens to the public on twenty second October at noon, continuing throughout regular café hours until the twenty sixth October.
