Within a thoughtfully curated residence designed by Fernando Jackson and suffused with the relaxed aesthetic sensibilities of the 1970s, Porcelanosa unveils a compelling exhibition of materials and spatial thinking. Design House, now in its seventeenth iteration as the platform of choice within Mexico City’s most significant design week, convenes the country’s most distinguished architectural and interior design studios to reimagine residential spaces and illuminate new trajectories within contemporary Mexican design.
The brand’s presence extends across three distinctly conceived environments, each reflecting a different interpretive lens through which to understand the language of modern living. A welcoming entrance hall conceived through the collaborative vision of Frank Estudio and Beyond Form establishes an immediate sense of arrival and intention. The dining room, orchestrated by Ezequiel Farcast Studio, creates an environment where material surfaces and spatial proportions converge to foster connection and gracious gathering. A bedroom and adjoining terrace, realised through the artistic partnership of Rodrigo Noriega and Casa Palacio, extends the narrative into more intimate, contemplative zones where texture and light choreograph the daily rhythms of domestic life.
Materials as narrative language
Across each of these three interventions, Porcelanosa’s refined material palette becomes far more than surface finish; it functions as a fundamental architectural language, speaking to the spatial ambitions and conceptual underpinnings of each project. The carefully selected finishes and surfaces demonstrate how contemporary material choices serve as eloquent vehicles for expressing design philosophy, whether through colour, texture, finish or tonal subtlety.
This exhibition represents a significant moment within Mexican design discourse, offering visitors the opportunity to witness how materials of considered quality and sophisticated engineering integrate within projects that collectively articulate diverse perspectives on the contemporary home. The convergence of established architectural practices with Porcelanosa’s comprehensive material offerings creates a compelling dialogue about the future direction of residential design within Mexico.
Design House runs from 9 October through 1 November 2026 at Avenida Paseo de las Palmas, Lomas de Chapultepec, positioning itself as an essential destination for those seeking insight into the evolving landscape of Mexican design thinking and residential innovation.
