The competition welcomes artists aged eighteen and above to submit original digital works that respond to the overarching theme for Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2027: Securing Systems. Sustaining Growth. This thematic framework encourages entrants to investigate the profound relationship between technological advancement, human imagination and the construction of more robust and flourishing societies. The scope for artistic interpretation remains expansive, allowing creators to engage with sustainability through myriad perspectives and mediums inherent to digital art.

Kawthar Bin Sulayem, Founder and CEO of District1795

Submissions will be accepted until 16 November 2026, with the winning artist and two finalists selected to receive recognition during Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week in January 2027. The laureate works will occupy a privileged position within the broader event programme, where they will be exhibited and celebrated amongst the global community of sustainability leaders, innovators and thinkers who convene in Abu Dhabi for this significant annual gathering.
