There exists a particular alchemy in spaces where heritage craftsmanship meets contemporary vision, where the hands that have worked gold for generations stand beside those imagining jewellery’s future. The Jewellery & Watch Show 2026 orchestrates precisely this conversation, drawing seventeen distinctive houses to Abu Dhabi in November, each carrying its own narrative of artistry and innovation.
The roster reads like a geography of jewellery itself. From Valenza, that legendary Italian enclave where the craft has flourished for decades, come houses steeped in family legacy. Carlo Barberis, established in 1929, remains one of the city’s oldest names, celebrated for compositions that marry diamonds and precious gemstones with an uncommon chromatic intelligence. The house is credited with developing the lapidé technique, a process that lends metal the lustrous refinement of a cut stone. Across generations, it has evolved under family stewardship into its third iteration.
Hasbani Gioielli, founded in Milan in 1948, similarly traces its lineage through family hands now in their third generation. Its pieces speak the language of nature and the Italian Renaissance, rendered in 18K gold with natural diamonds, coloured gemstones and pearls, influenced too by the chromatic richness of the Middle East. Maskada Gioielli, crafting fine jewellery in Valenza since the 1970s, earned recognition as a pioneer in experimenting with unusual stone cuts: baguettes, marquise, princess and emerald configurations that challenge convention whilst honouring classical sensibility.
The exhibition extends beyond Europe’s jewellery capitals. Eterno Jewels, based in Hong Kong, represents a different kind of mastery: one that encompasses the entire journey from raw stone to finished piece, born from Beauty Gems Group’s establishment in 1999 as a purveyor of loose diamonds. This vertical oversight transforms manufacturing into something more considered, more intentional.
Design Without Borders
Alongside these storied names, the show welcomes contemporary voices from Shanghai, Guangzhou, Bangkok and beyond. By Julia Muñoz, Vanessa Gioielli, Hersh Jewels, Teng Huat Jewellery, Vermeer International Jewellery, Diosa Luxury Jewellery, Bestline, CHJ Jewellery and Artemis Pink each bring their own signature aesthetic to the gathering. Royal King and Tapparini complete the ensemble, a collection that spans continents and sensibilities.
The exhibition itself becomes a classroom in craftsmanship, a gallery where visitors might move from Valenza’s lapidé compositions to bold contemporary interpretations within moments. The Ebda’a Awards, integrated into the show’s framework, celebrate design excellence across nine categories, including new categories devoted to men’s and bridal design, a recognition that jewellery continues to evolve, to broaden, to include new conversations.
The Jewellery & Watch Show 2026 runs from 11 to 15 November at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, occupying Halls 1 through 3. Entry is complimentary, with advance registration available online.
