The façade of AMIRI’s new Ciudad de México flagship arrives as a study in restraint and materiality. Santo Tomás marble, quarried in Mexico, renders the exterior in soft grey veining, its surface catching light as it rises across two storeys on Avenida Presidente Masaryk in Polanco. The white sans serif logotype sits clean and architectural against the stone, a counterpoint to the dark recesses of the windows below, where mannequins in tailored separates stand in conversation with the street.

Inside, the sensibility shifts toward warmth. Founder and creative director Mike Amiri has orchestrated a collaboration with Mexican artisans and three painters, Stefano Di Cristofaro, Emiliano Massimini and Alex Slonimsky, to create an interior that feels less like a boutique and more like a carefully curated home. The Santo Tomás marble continues as accents on display cases and columns, grounding the space, while cream travertine flooring spreads across the ground plane. Sculptural timber seating, leather lounge chairs and richly textured carpeting bring the tactile warmth that AMIRI has become known for across its global retail network, each piece handcrafted by local makers.

The aesthetic nods directly to old Hollywood and the draped curtains of mid century movie houses, echoing the Los Angeles cinematic roots that continually inform the house’s vision. Sheer drapes filter light through the interior, creating soft pools of illumination across neutral, textural wallpaper. This interplay of translucence and solidity, of Mexican craft and California glamour, feels neither forced nor derivative, but rather a genuine conversation between two sensibilities.

The boutique holds a curated selection of AMIRI’s menswear and womenswear, footwear and accessories. Hours run Monday through Sunday from 11am to 8pm. The address is Calderón de la Barca 97, Polanco III Sección, Miguel Hidalgo, CDMX.
