At a private ceremony on the Gulf of La Spezia, Antonini Navi has launched Evo 31, a 31.2 metre custom yacht built in steel and aluminium that sets out to deliver the space and comfort of a much larger vessel across four decks.

Exterior design and naval architecture are by Hydro Tec, with interiors by Hot Lab. Together the two studios have shaped a yacht with a strong identity, generous outdoor spaces and an informal, relaxed way of living on board.

A main deck made for living

Evo 31 breaks with convention. The main deck has neither a bow owner’s suite nor a formal saloon; instead the whole level is one social space, centred on a large lounge that flows into the aft cockpit. At the bow, a multifunctional area with a private terrace set into the hull works as a dining room, an office or a meeting space.

The owner moves up a level. On the upper deck, alongside the helm, the master cabin opens onto a private aft terrace with a lounge bar and Jacuzzi, a continuous private suite of a kind usually found on far larger yachts. Above, the 78 square metre sun deck brings together dining, a barbecue and a sunpad.

The lower deck holds four guest cabins and quarters for three crew. The crew mess sits on the main deck beside the galley for smoother service, and a side garage takes a tender of up to five metres. The steel hull and aluminium superstructure are built to commercial standards, in line with MCA and Cayman Islands requirements, with tropicalised air conditioning and automatic voltage converters for ports around the world.

“With Evo 31, we wanted to break the mould and demonstrate that, even in this size category, we have the capabilities to build safe, modern, top quality bespoke metal yachts, with interior and exterior liveability comparable to that of much larger vessels,” said Antonini Navi.
