The lobby of Claridge’s will transform when Anya Hindmarch’s 2026 Christmas installation unfolds across the branches of a traditional fir tree, suspended stars catching the light like captured wishes. The treehouse concept, unveiled on the 25th of November, will feature twinkling lights woven through the design, whilst gilded three dimensional stars hang at varying heights, casting their glow across the chequered marble floor below. The florals sweep across stone columns, drawing the eye upward into what becomes an enchanted canopy of green and gold.
This marks the sixteenth year that Claridge’s has partnered with a guest of the hotel to design its iconic Christmas tree, a tradition that has welcomed previous collaborators including Karl Lagerfeld, Christian Louboutin and Sir Paul Smith. Hindmarch’s Treehouse will take up residence in the famous lobby, creating what she describes as a festive abode that invites guests and visitors into a moment of playful reverie.
The hotel’s wider decorative scheme draws from rich, festive hues of copper and gold with dark green pine balanced with touches of jade for a sophisticated aesthetic, whilst handmade glittering gold Art Deco inspired stars hang throughout the hotel. The meticulous work of the florists at Claridge’s, along with their collaborators, creates the architectural framework within which this vision takes shape each season, a testament to the quiet craftsmanship that transforms a hotel into a moment of pure magic.
