Boodles interprets Hampton Court’s chimneys in diamonds

Boodles has created the Tudor Skyline Suite, a collection born from one of England’s most recognisable architectural silhouettes. The inspiration comes from the 241 chimneys that punctuate the roofline of Hampton Court Palace, those distinctive Tudor forms that have defined the skyline for centuries. Rather than simply reference this heritage, Boodles has rendered it in precious geometry: baguette cut diamonds describe the verticals of those chimneys, while cushion and carré cuts capture the dimensional mass of their crowns.

The suite unfolds as a cascade of graduated diamonds set against burgundy fabric in the product imagery, each stone positioned to echo the rhythm and hierarchy of the palace’s actual chimneys rising against the English sky. The pairing of stones in the pendant earrings shows the designer’s precision, with white diamonds forming the vertical elements and pink diamond accents adding warmth and depth reminiscent of the palace’s historic brick and terracotta tiles.

This collaboration with Historic Royal Palaces situates Boodles within a narrative of stewardship and appreciation for Britain’s architectural legacy. The Palace Collection honours not merely the buildings themselves, but the specific details that make them singular, the crafted elements that distinguish one great house from another. In translating chimneys into diamonds, Boodles has found a way to wear history itself, to carry the geometries of a Tudor palace on the body as portable architecture.
