Burberry marks its 170th anniversary with Wrapped in Burberry: Celebrating 170 Years, a campaign directed by Harmony Korine that unfolds at Longleat House in Wiltshire, where Pierce Brosnan and Fiona Shaw host a Christmas gathering. The cast brings together personalities from film and sport, including Dylan Brosnan, Dwyane Wade and Wu Lei. “We wanted to celebrate 170 years of Burberry with a proper party,” explains Daniel Lee, the house’s Chief Creative Officer.
Cashmere sits at the heart of the seasonal offering, bringing together ready to wear, accessories and signature house pieces in new textures and colours. Complimentary embroidery allows customers to personalise selected scarves and cashmere sweaters with up to five initials or icons. The gifting extends beyond the expected: for the first time, Burberry partners with Smythson on leather notebooks and travel friendly folding chess and backgammon sets.
Throughout the festive season, window displays recreate the atmosphere of a British country house through check curtains, oversized books, upholstered armchairs, Christmas trees and Thomas Bears. Gift options extend to dogs through knitted check sweaters, check woven bandanas and a blanket featuring the Burberry Knight. The entire experience concludes with complimentary wrapping, including ribbon tied boxes and a newly developed scarf tube.
