Ducati has refined its most charismatic cruiser. The new Diavel V4 S, presented at EICMA, sharpens the formula that made the original Diavel a modern icon: the 240 mm rear tyre, the single sided swingarm, the full LED lighting signature. These remain, unmistakably Diavel. But the S version introduces genuine technological advance where it counts.
For the first time in the Diavel family, Öhlins electronic suspension arrives as standard on the S. The system adjusts damping in real time, responding to road surface and riding inputs with the precision expected of Ducati’s performance lineage. The result transforms how the machine behaves: more composed, more communicative, more capable of converting the V4’s considerable power into purposeful acceleration without sacrificing the relaxed poise a cruiser demands.
The styling updates reinforce this athletic evolution. Air intakes borrowed from the track focused Diavel V4 RS feed the engine with sharper intention. A single seat tail strips away excess bulk, lending the rear a leaner profile. Machined finish wheels catch light in the way forged aluminium does, catching detail where paint alone would not. The full LED lighting signature remains, but now frames a chassis that sits lower, leans harder, breathes more deliberately.
What emerges is a cruiser that refuses compromise. The Diavel V4 S carries forward everything that made its lineage distinctive: the visual drama, the confident stance, the singular character that separates it from conventional machines. Yet it layers upon this foundation the technological refinement and dynamic sharpness that Ducati’s engineers have honed across decades of performance engineering. Sportier. More sophisticated. Unmistakably evolved.
