HUBLOT SUMMER 2026: PASTEL CERAMIC TAKES CENTRE STAGE IN THE BIG BANG

Hublot’s summer story has become an annual exploration of colour, material and Mediterranean energy. For 2026, the Swiss watchmaker is looking towards a gentler palette, introducing a collection of pastel ceramic watches that brings shades of mint, pink, sky blue, peach and petrol blue to the Big Bang family.
Presented in Saint-Tropez on 17 June, the new Hublot Summer 2026 collection centres on two multi-coloured Big Bang Summer models, accompanied by three monochrome ceramic versions in 33 mm and a 42 mm Big Bang Titanium Peach Ceramic. The watches share an emphasis on colour, but their mechanical constructions give each model a distinctly different character.

At the heart of the summer presentation are two Big Bang Summer watches, available in 42 mm and 44 mm. Both use a palette of mint green, pink and sky blue, inspired by the changing tones of the Mediterranean, but the watches diverge beneath their colourful surfaces.
The 42 mm model is equipped with Hublot’s Manufacture Unico flyback chronograph, while the 44 mm version houses the Manufacture automatic tourbillon. The result is a pairing in which the visual language remains consistent while the mechanical expression changes considerably.
The multi-coloured ceramic cases are finished with a combination of microblasted and polished surfaces. On the 42 mm Big Bang Summer, pink and mint green ceramic form the sculptural case, while a sky-blue ceramic bezel and matching case back complete the composition. The dial continues the colour story with matte pink and mint tones, giving the watch a softer visual rhythm than the more saturated ceramic colours for which Hublot has become known.
The 44 mm tourbillon takes a more architectural approach. Its transparent pink sapphire crystal dial allows the movement to remain visible beneath the surface, creating a layered effect in which colour, light and mechanics interact. The HUB6035 Manufacture movement features a micro-rotor and offers a 72-hour power reserve, with the transparent construction making the movement part of the visual experience rather than something concealed behind the dial.

Both models are supplied with interchangeable straps in sky blue, mint green and pink. Each strap uses white-lined rubber and is secured by a titanium deployant buckle. Hublot’s One Click system allows the straps to be changed without tools, making the watches particularly adaptable to different colour combinations.
The emphasis on ceramic is central to the collection. Hublot has spent years developing coloured ceramic as a specialist area of material research, building on the brand’s broader philosophy of combining materials that traditionally sit outside conventional watchmaking codes. The company says its ceramic research has resulted in a range of high-tech colours and materials engineered for durability, scratch resistance and colour stability.
The technical story continues inside the watches. Hublot’s Manufacture Unico flyback chronograph movement has been continuously developed since its introduction in 2010. Its architecture incorporates five patented innovations, including dual oscillating clutches, a constant-pressure minute-counter system, a zero-friction ratchet blocker and a fine balance-wheel adjustment system. These mechanisms are designed to improve the chronograph’s operation and mechanical efficiency.
The tourbillon offers a different demonstration of the Manufacture’s capabilities. The HUB6035 movement is deliberately exposed beneath the sapphire dial, with the micro-rotor visible from the dial side. Its 72-hour power reserve complements the open construction, allowing the mechanical movement to become an integral part of the watch’s appearance.
The summer collection extends beyond the multi-coloured models with a trio of 33 mm Big Bang watches in peach, mint green and petrol blue. These pieces adopt a monochrome approach, allowing a single ceramic shade to run across the case, bezel and dial before continuing onto the structured rubber strap.
For the first time in the Big Bang’s history, the 33 mm versions are presented without diamonds. That decision gives the watches a more direct relationship with colour, removing additional embellishment from the composition and allowing the ceramic itself to carry the design.
Each 33 mm model is powered by an automatic three-hand movement. The result is a simpler mechanical configuration than the chronograph and tourbillon models, but one that makes the colour architecture particularly clear.
The 42 mm Big Bang Titanium Peach Ceramic takes the peach shade into a larger, more technical format. Its titanium case is paired with peach ceramic on the bezel, while the skeletonised dial, hands and rubber strap continue the same colour. With 100-metre water resistance, it retains the practical qualities associated with the Big Bang while presenting the summer palette in a more assertive size.
Together, the watches show how dramatically the same material can alter its character through colour. The peach and mint versions appear softer and more understated than Hublot’s historically vivid ceramic creations, while petrol blue provides a deeper counterpoint. The multi-coloured models take the idea further, combining three shades within a single construction.
The collection also sits within Hublot’s longer relationship with material experimentation. The house was founded in 1980 in Switzerland by Italian entrepreneur Carlo Crocco, whose first Hublot watch introduced an unconventional combination of a gold case and natural rubber strap. Its bezel, secured by 12 titanium screws and inspired by the shape of a ship’s porthole, established design elements that would become closely associated with the brand. Hublot refers to this philosophy as the “Art of Fusion”, reflecting its interest in combining traditional and contemporary materials.
The Big Bang arrived later, in 2005, and became an important expression of that philosophy, combining a substantial case architecture with contrasting materials and a strong visual identity. Over time, the collection has provided Hublot with a platform for experimentation in ceramic, sapphire, titanium, carbon and other advanced materials.

The 2026 summer collection continues that trajectory but changes the mood. Instead of relying on intense colour alone, Hublot explores what happens when technical materials are rendered in shades associated with early morning light, sea and sky. The result is a collection in which the engineering remains substantial even as the visual language becomes lighter.

Pastel ceramic might appear, at first glance, to be a departure for a brand associated with strong contrasts and experimental materials. In practice, it reveals another side of the same philosophy. The technical ambition remains beneath the surface, while colour changes the emotional register.
For Hublot, summer 2026 is therefore not about making ceramic quieter. It is about demonstrating how expressive the material can become when its palette softens. Against the Mediterranean light that inspired the collection, the watches occupy an appealing space between engineering and ease — proof that technical watchmaking does not always have to announce itself in dark or dramatic tones.
