The morning ritual of coffee and a croissant, so fundamental to French daily life, arrives at Sofitel Dubai The Obelisk this September as something altogether more considered. The hotel’s collaboration with Nespresso reimagines le café croissant through three signature pairings, each crafted to illuminate the croissant’s delicate aromas and the coffee’s distinctive character, delivered to guest rooms with ceremony and surprise.
The partnership draws on complementary obsessions: Sofitel’s La Haute Croissanterie, the group’s celebrated pastry programme, and Nespresso’s mastery of coffee extraction and flavour profiling. The menu arrives via the hotel’s “Please Disturb” door hanger, inviting guests to choose their pairing and summon the experience on demand throughout the day, whether during an unhurried morning in bed, an afternoon pause or an evening indulgence.
Le Brûlé pairs a cappuccino mousse, its burnt edges enhancing honeyed notes, with a crispy honey cream croissant finished with brûléed sugar and an aromatic almond mist. L’Épicé brings a spicy chocolate coffee, prepared with oat milk, alongside a coffee chocolate croissant infused with passion fruit and a whisper of Sichuan pepper. Each arrives on Nespresso glassware, with a menu printed in the collaboration’s shared branding, and concludes with a finishing gesture performed in your room, a moment where craft and surprise converge.
