High ceilings flood with golden afternoon light. Above, a geometric skylight rendered in primary yellow, ice blue and cream catches the California sun and refracts it across polished concrete floors in shifting rectangles of warmth. This is Le Set’s new Los Angeles headquarters, a space that reads less like a showroom and more like a deliberate act of architectural restraint.
The Parisian brand, known for its precise tailoring and contemplative approach to contemporary dressing, has long favoured environments that let the work breathe without distraction. This Los Angeles home continues that philosophy. Designer Phoebe Philo, who oversaw the space’s realisation, has crafted something notably spare: blonde wood, charred timber structural beams that draw the eye upward, and walls rendered in soft cream that serve as backdrop rather than statement.
Furniture sits with purpose. Chairs in burnished bronze catch the light as they face a screen dressed in pale linen, anchored by a sculptural bronze form that suggests movement without demanding attention. The room feels gathered rather than curated, a space where the brand’s collections might be considered rather than consumed.
The decision to settle on Los Angeles speaks to the brand’s global ambitions whilst remaining rooted in the considered aesthetics that define its identity. The skylight alone becomes a kind of manifesto: primary colours and geometry arranged with such clarity that they feel almost inevitable, the way a perfectly cut jacket seems to have always existed in its proportions.
Le Set’s Los Angeles headquarters is located in the city’s design district and welcomes visitors by appointment.
