Dan D’Agostino Master Audio Systems celebrated its 15th anniversary in January 2026 with the launch of the Momentum Z Monoblock Amplifier, and the brand brought this flagship design to Japan for its first encounter with audiences in the region at the Tokyo International Audio Show. The presentation paired the dual 1,200VA linear toroidal transformer power supply delivering 500W into 8 ohms, 1,000W into 4 ohms and 2,000W into 2 ohms with the newly conceived Momentum C2Z preamplifier.

The amplifiers on display embodied the unmistakably D’Agostino visual identity, with copper heatsinks offering nearly twice the thermal conductivity of aluminium to maintain stability even when delivering full multi kilowatt output. The front panel combines a high resolution digital display with the company’s signature analogue meter wand, rendered here in luminous turquoise. This represents a full revision of the amplifier’s core architecture rather than an incremental update, with changes to power supply design, circuit topology, thermal management and system control.

The signal path remains fully analogue, while a software based control system works in the background to monitor bias and operating conditions in real time, keeping the amplifier within its optimal performance window. The Tokyo showing reaffirmed the brand’s vision of translating decades of refinement into instruments capable of conveying music with clarity and scale.
