The gallery returns to Art Taipei with a presentation that moves fluidly across mediums, geographies and artistic voices. Four dedicated solo corners anchor the booth, each offering intimate engagement with the singular vision of its artist: Mehdi Ghadyanloo, Takashi Murakami, Chen Fei and Wang Fanseng. These focal points provide moments of contemplation within a broader, more expansive dialogue around material experimentation and contemporary artistic practice.

The selection foregrounds a thoughtful investigation into how artists approach the figure in our moment, and the intricate relationships between memory, imagination and the textures of daily life. Works span painting and sculpture alongside pieces on paper, creating a layered visual conversation that rewards close looking. The gallery’s curatorial eye has drawn together artists whose practices, though distinct in language and geography, share a commitment to formal investigation and conceptual depth.

Takashi Murakami’s presence brings his characteristically luminous approach to colour and form; Lee Bae’s sculptural gestures suggest the weight and flow of brushstroke translated into three dimensions; Vivian Greven’s work explores the dialogue between material and abstraction; while Steph Huang’s paintings capture the particular light and mood of transitional moments. Each artist brings their own vocabulary, their own sensibility, yet together they create a coherent vision of what contemporary practice might encompass.

The booth itself becomes a space for discovery, where the eye might move from the lyrical and expressive to the quietly conceptual, from works that celebrate craft and technique to pieces that interrogate the nature of representation itself. Perrotin’s presence at the fair reaffirms its role as a gallerist of considerable range and intellectual curiosity, one attuned to the conversations that matter in contemporary art across Asia and beyond.
