The Reverso Tribute Chronograph inverts tradition by making the mechanism itself the focal point. Flip the iconic rectangular case to its reverse, and the sapphire caseback dissolves into the architecture within: an open worked dial that transforms the movement into sculpture. The Calibre 860, designed and assembled within Jaeger LeCoultre’s Manufacture Atelier, becomes legible as mechanical poetry.

What emerges is not mere transparency but choreography. The column wheel that orchestrates the chronograph function sits revealed beneath carefully contoured bridges, each one bevelled with the same precision one might expect of an eighteenth century engraver. Côtes de Genève decoration catches the light across surfaces that ought to remain hidden. The eye traces the geometry: the tourbillon cage, the balance wheel, the jewelled pivots glinting with purpose.

The rectangular white gold case retains the Reverso’s graphic rigour, its fluted bezel a study in controlled geometry. The rectangular chronograph dial on the obverse maintains classical legibility, its subdials and blue steel chronograph hand restrained and purposeful. The black leather strap grounds the watch’s formal elegance. But it is the reverse that endures in the mind: a conversation between maker and wearer, written in steel and jewels and the language of horological craft that Jaeger LeCoultre has spoken for nearly a century.

This is not transparency as novelty. Rather, it is the natural conclusion of a house that has always believed the mechanism deserves to be seen, understood, and cherished. The Reverso Tribute Chronograph asks its owner to pause, turn the watch, and witness the ordered complexity that makes time itself visible.
