Somabay, the exclusive Red Sea resort destination on Egypt’s coast, is entering a new chapter. At World Travel Market in London, ROBINSON, the premium club brand of TUI Hotels and Resorts, and the Abu Soma Development Company extended their partnership for the existing ROBINSON SOMA BAY until 2028, and announced a second ROBINSON club around one kilometre away.

An adults only club for Somabay
The new build resort, planned with around 250 rooms, will be an adults only retreat devoted to sport, culinary experiences, entertainment and relaxation, and is scheduled to open in 2029. The original ROBINSON SOMA BAY keeps its welcoming FOR ALL positioning and will undergo an extensive modernisation, with refreshed guest rooms, reception and lobby, pool, spa and fitness areas, bars and theatre, plus a new sports pool and ROBY CLUB.
“Somabay is an established and highly successful destination for ROBINSON,” said Bernd Mäser, CEO of TUI Hotels and Resorts. “With a second club, we are creating an additional, clearly differentiated offering and reaching new customer groups.”
“It is the combination of nature, the wide range of holiday experiences and the warm hospitality of the people that keeps guests coming back,” said Ibrahim El Missiri, Group CEO of the Abu Soma Development Company. “We are delighted to be opening another chapter for this special destination together with ROBINSON.”
