True Slice brings Italian pizzeria craft to Sharjah’s Aljada

True Slice, the new pizzeria within Vida Aljada in Sharjah’s Aljada district, has opened to those who value the simple discipline of Italian craft and the pleasure of a generous evening with others.
The menu draws from classical Italian foundations and ventures into more considered interpretations. Tartufo arrives laden with mushroom, smoked cheese, Parmigiano Reggiano and fresh truffle. Burrata Verde marries yellow tomato sauce with fresh burrata, mountain tomato confit, olive, basil and caper. Gambero brings together prawn, basil pesto and pickled jalapeño. The signature Margherita True Slice holds its purity through San Marzano tomato, fior di latte, Parmigiano Reggiano and basil.
Beyond the pizza, the kitchen prepares risotto arancini with aged Parmigiano and black pepper aioli; burrata from Puglia with mountain tomato confit and basil oil; calamari with lemon mayonnaise. The bowls include a vegan power option and one built around organic salmon. Desserts range from pistachio gelato with kanafeh and caramelised pistachio through profiteroles with chocolate to classic Italian tiramisu. The beverages span house made mocktails, lattes in various turns, and specialty matcha drinks including one infused with saffron.
The space itself holds a sociable warmth. Warm lighting and an unhurried rhythm create the kind of environment where a meal extends naturally. True Slice is open from noon until 11pm.
Through 4 December, True Slice offers a gesture to first time visitors: on Friday evenings, those making their first visit receive a complimentary pizza when they order from the menu. The arrangement asks only that guests mention it is their first visit to the restaurant.
