Zak + Fox has refreshed its showroom at 235 Park Avenue South with a collection that speaks to the house’s gift for colour and considered design. Burgundy velvet catches the light in a sculptural wingback chair, its piping picked out in complementary tones, while a curved sofa in rust upholstery anchors the room with warmth. These are pieces that announce themselves without fanfare, their proportions refined, their construction evident in the precision of every seam.
The collaboration with PRB brings together the textile specialist’s bold patterns and the designer’s eye for living spaces that feel both collected and intentional. Patterned cushions in navy and cream sit against the caramel upholstery, their geometry catching the morning light that streams through the tall windows dressed in golden linen. A modest wooden coffee table, its surface textured and honest, grounds the arrangement. To the right, a chair upholstered in sage green and topped with soft blue quilting offers a quiet counterpoint, its wooden frame visible and assured.
The palette moves between jewel tones and warm neutrals, the kind of restraint that distinguishes rooms designed for living rather than for the photograph alone. Brass and wood furnishings, parchment lamps, and accessories chosen with evident care complete the tableau. This is how Zak + Fox approaches interior design: with an understanding that colour and form, when paired with integrity, create spaces of genuine beauty.
