Le Sereno returns to St Barths on November 16 with redesigned suites and a new beachfront address on Grand Cul de Sac. The intimate all suite hotel has undergone a three year metamorphosis that extends from the architecture to the terraces, yet preserves the serene discretion that first distinguished it.

Under the direction of Luis and Angelica Contreras, whose vision shaped Le Sereno’s original identity through collaboration with designer Christian Liaigre and later expanded to Lake Como, the transformation has enlisted artisans and botanists to reimagine the property. Every accommodation at Le Sereno has been redone, with each suite now equipped with a private pool. The pool remains one of Le Sereno’s central gathering places, with stone selected to echo the turquoise water beyond it.

Le Sereno has acquired the adjoining beachfront property to introduce BOKAO, a new beach club with relaxed waterfront dining, bringing that lunch on the sand experience directly to Le Sereno’s stretch of Grand Cul de Sac. Le Sereno Al Mare returns in a redesigned beachfront space, maintaining its focus on contemporary Italian cooking and fresh local ingredients.

At Spa Le Sereno, the waterfront treatment pavilion has been redone with Orosei stone. The terraced gardens have been replanted with tropical species selected to enhance the natural landscape rather than overwhelm it. The equivalent of thousands of truckloads of sand were carefully dredged from the lagoon and placed on the beach in front of the hotel, which is larger and better than ever.

The reopening marks the convergence of considered restoration and thoughtful expansion, where the hotel’s fundamental character, its privacy, its connection to the lagoon, its uncluttered aesthetic, survives intact alongside the new conveniences that contemporary travel demands. Reservations are being accepted for November 16 onwards.
