A wooden rim catches flame as citrus notes rise toward the ceiling. At the Drawing Room bar, expertly crafted cocktails, fine wines, and a wide range of spirits arrive with the kind of precision that belongs to places where detail matters. The fire is not mere flourish; it is the finishing touch that marks the difference between a drink and a moment.
Built in 1816, this Georgian mansion has retained much of the ‘Old Hall’ charm with cosy lounges and a stylish Drawing Room. The setting moves easily between the formal and the convivial. Views of the beautiful Cheshire countryside provide the perfect backdrop for casual drinks, light bites, or a full meal, whether one arrives for pre dinner cocktails or settles in with friends for the evening.
The bartenders bring something beyond technique. Whether seeking brunch with friends, light lunch, or an informal evening meal, the menu offers a delicious selection to suit every palate, yet the bar’s strength lies in what cannot easily be put on a menu: the knowledge of when a drink deserves such finishing touches, and the craft to execute them without ceremony. Whether popping in after a day at the spa or simply looking for a more relaxed dining option, there is an experience that’s both satisfying and sophisticated.
The Drawing Room & Bar is open 10am to 10pm, with food served from 12pm to 9.30pm. Rookery Hall Hotel & Spa is set in 38 acres of beautiful grounds and gardens near Nantwich, Cheshire.
