Dubai’s newest French restaurant does not stay in one place. From Thursday 6 November, Lady Nara, the custom built luxury dhow from Nara Hospitality Group, returns to the water with redesigned interiors, an entirely new Riviera menu and a new identity as a floating French restaurant inspired by the Golden Age of Travel.

Guests reserve a table just as they would at any restaurant in the city, but the setting is anything but ordinary. As the dhow glides along the Dubai Canal, the skyline becomes the backdrop, and a city residents know well from the road appears in an entirely new light.

A taste of Nice

The signature dinner draws on the culinary traditions of Nice and the French Riviera, served as a sharing style menu before two main courses arrive in sequence: La Bouillabaisse de Joseph, then a braised lamb shank, with a seasonal vegetable risotto for those who prefer neither fish nor meat. The menu follows a family story. Joseph Leblanc, the founder’s grandfather, was born in Cannes, grew up facing the sea in Nice, and saved all his life for one idea: a dhow of his own.

“Joseph’s bouillabaisse has been part of our family table for as long as I can remember. Bringing it aboard Lady Nara felt natural,” said Stephanie Reichenbach, Founder of Nara. “We want people to come for the food and the company, and to leave having seen a familiar city from somewhere new.”

The evening begins with a personal welcome aboard, followed by attentive table service, intimate live music and a series of signature hospitality rituals. The dhow can also be chartered privately for breakfast, lunch, sunset or dinner.
