Investcorp has closed a US$550 million syndicated term financing facility, a transaction that signals substantial confidence from the international banking community in the alternative investment manager’s operational momentum and strategic direction. Originally structured at US$400 million, the facility attracted sufficient oversubscription to expand to its final size, with both existing relationship lenders and new financial institutions committing capital.

The syndication was coordinated by eight Initial Mandated Lead Arrangers and Bookrunners: Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, Bank ABC, Commercial Bank of Dubai, Emirates NBD Capital, First Abu Dhabi Bank, Gulf International Bank, Kuwait Finance House and Qatar National Bank. This constellation of regional and international financial institutions reflects Investcorp’s embedded position across the Gulf’s premier banking ecosystem and its reach into global capital markets.
Abbas Rizvi, Chief Financial Officer at Investcorp, characterised the facility as instrumental in broadening the firm’s funding sources whilst enhancing operational flexibility. The new financing architecture supports ongoing business activities and underpins the organisation’s long term expansion strategy, allowing Investcorp to continue its evolution as a significant player in alternative asset management across multiple geographies and investment strategies.
