Welsh & Jefferies, the Savile Row tailoring house established in 1977, returns to Hong Kong on 26 and 27 October for a trunk show that brings the craft of London’s most refined bespoke tailoring to the heart of Asia’s financial district. The atelier opens its temporary showroom to welcome clients seeking garments cut to their precise measurements and made to their exacting specifications.

The trunk show format allows the house to display its full collection of cloths and linings, from English woollens and Italian fabrics to the finest silks and linens sourced from across Europe. Clients will consult directly with the tailors to discuss cut, construction and the subtle details that distinguish a Welsh & Jefferies jacket: the roll of the lapel, the pitch of the shoulders, the depth of the armhole. Each garment is built by hand in the London workrooms, a process that unfolds over several months as the cloth is shaped, pad stitched and finished with the care that defines Savile Row tradition.

The atelier’s approach honours the street’s heritage of military precision and artistic refinement. Every suit, overcoat and waistcoat is made once, to order, and never repeated. The tailors work from detailed measurements taken during the Hong Kong appointment, refining the fit through fittings as the garment develops.

Appointments are available by contacting Welsh & Jefferies at info@welshandjefferies.com. The trunk show runs 26 and 27 October in Hong Kong.
