Bell & Ross has turned its iconic square case into a porthole onto the cosmos. The new BR-03 Space Mission, limited to 999 pieces, follows the BR-03 Astro with a fresh animated tableau in which a spacecraft circles the dial to tell the time.

Instead of conventional hands, the 41 mm watch uses a transparent rotating disc printed with the Earth and the Moon, which marks the hours, while the nose of the Vortex, a reusable orbital vehicle concept developed by Dassault Aviation, travels around the dial to indicate the minutes. The scene is set against black aventurine glass scattered with stars, and a small red dot represents Mars, perhaps the next stop on the journey.
A simple complication
Developed by the Maison’s Swiss design office, the display reads as intuitively as a classic two hand dial yet changes with every passing minute. It is driven by the BR-CAL.325 automatic mechanical movement inside the BR-03 case, itself inspired by aircraft cockpit instruments.

Founded in 1994 by Carlos A. Rosillo and Bruno Belamich, Bell & Ross built its name on professional aviation watches and its signature “round in a square” design. The BR-03 Space Mission carries that spirit beyond the atmosphere, aimed at astronomy enthusiasts, science fiction lovers and collectors drawn to a different way of reading time.

The BR-03 Space Mission is a limited edition of 999 pieces, available through Bell & Ross boutiques and authorised retailers.
