Danieli, Venezia, A Four Seasons Hotel reopens on 26 August 2026, restoring a Venetian monument that has shaped the city’s luxury imagination since 1822. The arrival itself becomes ceremony: a mahogany motoscafo cuts through Venice’s bustling lagoon, the bustle dissolving into the quiet of narrow canals, until three palaces on Riva degli Schiavoni come into view, anchored by the 14th century Palazzo Dandolo, flanked by the 19th century Palazzo Casa Nuova and Palazzo Danieli Excelsior.

Pierre Yves Rochon has transformed the interiors with a distinctly Venetian palette of celadon blues and greens, soft pinks, warm golden yellows and rich terracotta. The property contains three interconnected palaces on the water’s edge, a golden staircase rising through a four storey atrium, and a rooftop that looks across the lagoon to San Giorgio Maggiore. The hotel spans 120 rooms and suites with lagoon views and a layout that feels more like a small district of rooms than a conventional city hotel, each space positioned to frame either the water or the city itself.

Located on the laguna waterfront on Riva degli Schiavoni, just steps from Piazza San Marco, the Danieli occupies the intersection where Venice’s ceremonial heart meets the lagoon. Reservations are open now for departure in late August.
