Embroidered flowers drift across linen in soft greens and blues, each stitch placed by hand with the kind of patience and precision that transforms cloth into something quietly extraordinary. Fine Cell Work will open the doors of Styford Hall in Northumberland on 13th November for an Open House Sale, offering the rare chance to browse and purchase directly from the craftspeople whose work has garnered recognition across Britain.

The collection on display comprises hand embroidered cushions, homewares, gifts and accessories, each one made by participants in Fine Cell Work’s training programmes. The social enterprise operates within prisons, teaching needlework skills whilst providing meaningful activity, income and a tangible sense of purpose to those who take part. What emerges from these sessions are textiles of genuine beauty, the kind that belong in carefully considered homes alongside inherited pieces and considered acquisitions.

The sale runs from 9.30am until 2pm at Styford Hall, a handsome setting in the Northumberland countryside where visitors can see the work up close, understand the skill involved and support an organisation that transforms lives through craft. Attendance requires an RSVP to events@finecellwork.co.uk. The address is Styford Hall, Northumberland, NE43 7TY.
