Montegrappa captures the Miura’s spirit in a fountain pen with a pop up headlight

The Automobili Lamborghini Miura fountain pen arrives as a meditation on automotive form rendered in ebonite and gold. Called Automobili Lamborghini Miura: Lines in Lasting Motion, the collection draws inspiration from the car’s flowing proportions, mechanical details and unmistakable personality. What emerges is not a branded writing instrument but rather an object that has studied the Miura’s vocabulary of motion and translated it into something to be held in the hand.

The pen’s silhouette echoes the supercar’s elongated grace, whilst its barrel comes dressed in one of three colours drawn from the original’s palette: Fly Yellow, Miura Green and Black. The fountain pen features an 18-karat gold nib with ruthenium plating, engraved with the Lamborghini shield. What distinguishes this from ceremonial luxury is the engineering itself. The cap contains a retractable rock crystal headlight inspired by the Miura’s most iconic design element, a functional detail that serves no practical writing purpose and yet feels entirely necessary.

Montegrappa has considered the entire experience. Each pen comes in a case constructed from lacquered wood and genuine leather, drawing inspiration from the Miura’s interior. Each colour is limited to 60 examples across both fountain pen and rollerball versions, a production run that mirrors the exclusivity of significant automotive collectibles. The collection is scheduled to reach selected jewellery and watch retailers, department stores and Montegrappa’s website in mid November 2026.
