Purely bespoke since 1803, and the longest history of any independent tailor on Savile Row.
The house has made garments for four kings, seven crown princes and two American presidents.
It is one of only three purely bespoke houses on Savile Row.
Over the years it has absorbed Johns & Pegg, Fallan & Harvey, James & James and Wells of Mayfair.
Through Johns & Pegg it holds a royal warrant to the Duke of Edinburgh as military tailors.
Clark Gable, Bryan Ferry and Michael Jackson have all been clients.
An old shop sign swings, shears snip.
Bespoke is made in person: a conversation, a measure, and fittings until it is right.
Every house in our Bespoke Savile Row section, each with its own world.
The Davies & Son name belongs to its owners. Stories on Simply Luxury are drawn from the house's own published content. Illustrations by Simply Luxury.
