Sixty years of bespoke shirts, for stars of the screen and a certain secret agent.
Founded by Frank Foster.
He opened at 37 Bond Street in 1956 and worked from 40 Pall Mall from 1958.
His clients included John Gielgud, Marlon Brando, Orson Welles, Frank Sinatra and Cary Grant.
He made shirts for Roger Moore, and has been credited with making more shirts for James Bond than any other shirtmaker.
Frank Foster died in 2016 aged 93, and the firm continues by appointment.
A mother of pearl button turns in the light.
New stories from Frank Foster arrive here as we publish them, straight from the house.
Bespoke is made in person: a conversation, a measure, and fittings until it is right.
Every house in our Bespoke Savile Row section, each with its own world.
