True bespoke at 9 to 10 Savile Row, cut freehand, with no basic template.
Founded by Maurice Sedwell.
Andrew Ramroop, who arrived in the UK from Trinidad in 1970, bought the company in 1988.
In 2008 Ramroop opened the Savile Row Academy, described as the only professionally staffed school on the Row.
The house moved to 9 to 10 Savile Row in 2022.
Its clients have included peers, politicians and a member of the royal family.
A pattern chalked freehand, shears follow.
New stories from Maurice Sedwell arrive here as we publish them, straight from the house.
Bespoke is made in person: a conversation, a measure, and fittings until it is right.
Every house in our Bespoke Savile Row section, each with its own world.
The Maurice Sedwell name belongs to its owners. Stories on Simply Luxury are drawn from the house's own published content. Illustrations by Simply Luxury.
