Its lead designer Giorgio Cerrato, an architecture graduate of Politecnico di Milano, began by modifying a Ducati Hypermotard given to him by his father in 2010.
The name uses a Roman style V and is pronounced Utopia.
The Anima, based on the Ducati Diavel V4, is planned as a limited run of five bikes with angular carbon fibre bodywork.
Earlier work includes body kits for Vyrus motorcycles and the Zero Zero, a Hypermotard based prototype with a carbon fibre monocoque.
