Breva carries the spirit of Lake Como to the wrist, measuring wind, weather and altitude with exquisite Geneva mechanics.
Founded by Vincent Dupontreué.
The Génie 01 was presented as the first mechanical wristwatch with an altimeter and barometer, a weather station for the wrist.
Its barometer relies on an aneroid drum that breathes with air pressure, while an airlock crown balances pressure inside the case.
The Génie 02 followed as a mechanical altimeter, its calibrated aneroid capsules reading altitudes up to around 5,000 metres.
The Génie 03 Speedmeter raises a patented miniature anemometer from its case and is driven by the first in house Breva movement.
Clouds roll in and the barometer needle swings to forecast the weather.
New stories from Breva Genève arrive here as we publish them, straight from the house.
Every timepiece is best discovered in person: on the wrist, in the hand, and in the company of those who made it.
