Since 1894, Universal Genève has dressed the wrist with couture elegance, from the polar skies of the Polerouter to the Compax.
Founded by Ulysse Georges Perret and Numa Emile Descombes.
In 1936 the house introduced the Aero Compax, an aviator's chronograph, which inspired the celebrated Compax and Tri Compax family.
The Polerouter, designed by Gérald Genta and launched in 1954, was favoured by Scandinavian Airlines pilots flying the polar routes.
The innovative Calibre 215 micro rotor movement, introduced in 1955, powered the Polerouter, a landmark of slim self winding watchmaking.
The house announced its relaunch in November 2024 with three unique Polerouter pieces, opening a new chapter as Le Couturier de la Montre.
An airliner crosses the polar route over the top of the world.
New stories from Universal Genève arrive here as we publish them, straight from the house.
Every timepiece is best discovered in person: on the wrist, in the hand, and in the company of those who made it.
Every house in this collection has its own world on Simply Luxury.
